Fixed Asset Accountant (hybrid consultant)

Our client is immediately seeking an Accountant to support the fixed assets accounting team of a well-established manufacturing organization in the Memphis area. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a flexible schedule while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The position is expected to last from August 2026 through March 2027 and will begin at approximately 25 hours per week, with high likelihood to quickly increase hours based on workload and performance.

Responsibilities

• Process fixed asset additions, transfers, retirements, and disposals
• Maintain fixed asset records and ensure compliance with company accounting policies
• Prepare and post fixed asset journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with inventory accounting and month-end close activities
• Support Accounts Payable and general accounting functions as needed
• Research accounting transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Work closely with the accounting team on special projects and process improvements
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with an emphasis on Fixed Assets, General Ledger, or Accounts Payable
• SAP experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or other asset-intensive industries is highly preferred
• Experience with multiple ERP systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Focus on identifying candidates with a strong accounting foundation, sound judgment, a collaborative approach, and a willingness to learn
  
  

Schedule

• Hybrid work arrangement
• Approximately 25 hours per week on-site to start, with potential to quickly increase to 40 hours and work from home on Mondays & Fridays based on your performance
• On-site collaboration required several days each week during onboarding and training
