Gates Hudson is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the operational, financial, and resident-facing functions of one of our multifamily communities. This role partners closely with the Property Manager to ensure policy compliance, financial accuracy, team supervision, and a high-quality resident experience.

- Support day-to-day property operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Supervise and train onsite staff as directed
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections
- Ensure consistent policy implementation
- Address resident questions, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner
- Review notices to vacate and support retention efforts
- Welcome prospects, conduct tours, and handle leasing paperwork as needed
- Assist with preparation of the annual budget and monitor expenses throughout the year
- Process, approve, and submit invoices for payment
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash
- Track monthly variances and prepare narratives
- Communicate with vendors regarding scheduling, billing, COIs, and performance
- Ensure use of approved vendors and adherence to budget guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Work weekends as needed
Required
- Two or more years of experience in property management, leasing, or related multifamily housing roles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and multifamily regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Yardi, Nexus, or similar property management and accounting systems
- Prior supervisory or training experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications a plus
