The Senior Engineering Technician supports material innovation and compliance within the Materials Science team. This role partners with scientists, engineers, laboratory teams, and suppliers to manage material specifications, HSE and quality requirements, and related system processes. The Senior Engineering Technician serves as a liaison across technical and operational teams, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth coordination between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate the change management process for raw material specifications, both internally and with suppliers.
- Maintain and update raw material specifications and related databases to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, including material Where Used tracking and Chemicals of Concern coordination, including collaboration with EU REACH requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers for Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and material documentation.
- Act as the ERP (Oracle) subject matter expert, supporting:
Item creation and setup
Item costing
Where Used analysis
Data transfers between Product Lifecycle Management (Windchill) and Oracle - Provide R&D laboratory system support, including:
Lab order submissions
Lab metric calculations, reporting, and data analysis
- Act as the ERP (Oracle) subject matter expert, supporting:
- Support cross-functional projects with Engineering and leadership, primarily utilizing Excel for reporting and process improvement initiatives.
- Post-secondary education is preferred
- Minimum 8 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment-preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
- Strong in change management and documentation skills.
- Excellent planning and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
