Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-centered Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our expanding metabolic clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to help patients achieve lasting improvements in weight, metabolic health, and overall wellness through evidence-based, individualized care.
Our practice specializes in obesity medicine, medical weight management, hormone optimization, lifestyle medicine, and chronic disease prevention. We believe in treating the whole patient while building long-term relationships that support sustainable health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and medical histories.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, PCOS, and related conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including GLP-1 receptor agonists and other evidence-based therapies, as appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress through follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Interpret laboratory results and diagnostic testing.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, registered dietitians, and clinical staff to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
- Educate and motivate patients regarding nutrition, physical activity, behavior modification, and long-term lifestyle change.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Georgia.
- DEA registration (or eligibility).
- National board certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for preventive medicine and patient education.
Preferred
- Experience in obesity medicine, endocrinology, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine.
- Experience managing GLP-1 medications and other anti-obesity therapies.
- Interest in lifestyle medicine, nutrition, metabolic health, and chronic disease management.
- Certification in Obesity Medicine (or willingness to pursue certification).
