We are actively seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join our growing APP team in Athens, Georgia!
You will work for Georgia Emergency Medicine Specialists (GEMS), a private, independent group of emergency physicians and APPs who provide emergency medical care at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens. The Piedmont Athens campus is a 427-bed acute care hospital serving as one of Northeast Georgia’s only Level II trauma centers, with a 17-county catchment area and annual ER patient volume of over 80,000.
A typical full-time APP schedule will consist of an average of 15 9-hour shifts per month, and will include a mix of morning, afternoon, evening, and nights (required) shifts, with equitable sharing of weekends and holidays.
We offer a competitive compensation (starting $120k-$130k or more based on experience and CMEs) and benefits package for you and your family which start on your first work shift: medical, health savings account, dental, disability insurance, and retirement 401(k) plan.
You will work alongside physicians in the same work area and manage patients in direct collaboration with the physicians. The ideal APP candidate will have experience in emergency medicine and/or urgent care - however we also accept new graduates and train on the job - must be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
