About The Role
The EMT will support providers and the clinical team by assisting with patient care, gathering medical information, performing clinical tasks, and responding to both emergency and non-emergency situations. Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms to ensure efficiency and readiness
- Start IVs and administer medications as directed by the provider
- Collect and properly label laboratory specimens for testing
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and provider instructions
- Support post-procedure care, including patient instructions and IV discontinuation
- Maintain cleanliness of instruments and properly dispose of contaminated materials
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) as needed
- Assist in evaluating patient conditions and support life-saving interventions when necessary
- Follow all established clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Emergency Medical Technician Certification
- IV Certification required - or willing to obtain
- BLS certification required
- 2 years of experience as an EMT preferred
- Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures
