Job Summary

Southwest Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting and possess strong skills in classroom management and behavior management. As a middle school math teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, developing engaging lesson plans, and fostering the academic and personal growth of your students.

Duties

• Develop and implement instructional plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress.
• Provide mentoring and support to students, guiding them in their academic journey.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design instructional strategies that enhance student learning.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; higher education teaching experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
• Strong skills in instructional design, with the ability to create engaging lesson plans.
• Excellent proofreading and copy editing skills to ensure high-quality educational content.
• Ability to mentor students effectively, fostering their academic growth and personal development.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies.
• A commitment to educating students in a supportive and nurturing environment.
