**Overview**
We are looking for an Applications & Customer Support Engineer to support the front end of a growing line of complex industrial equipment within our Magnet Technologies group.
This is not a pure sales or quoting role. It requires a mix of technical understanding, commercial awareness, and practical engineering judgment. This role will play a key part in developing customer solutions, supporting quotations, and ensuring alignment between customer requirements, partner inputs, and Gasbarre's internal capabilities.
The right person will be comfortable operating in an environment with multiple inputs, evolving priorities, and a need to balance responsiveness with accuracy while helping build structure as the business grows.
**What This Role Involves**
Supporting development of technical and commercial quotations for magnet systems, automation, and legacy press equipment
Translating customer requirements into system concepts, scope definitions, and cost inputs
Working with customers, partners, and internal teams to gather information and resolve technical questions
Managing incoming opportunities, requests, and proposal timelines across multiple projects
Coordinating with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure accurate and competitive proposals
Supporting transition of awarded projects into execution, including early procurement and planning
Assisting with FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) readiness
Helping develop and improve quoting tools, processes, and standards as the business scales
**Must Have**
**Technical / Professional**
Experience in a manufacturing, production, or capital equipment environment
Exposure to equipment selection, feasibility analysis, or ROI justification
Experience with production planning, process improvement, or operational efficiency initiatives
Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical and commercial inputs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
**Ownership & Work Style**
Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across active opportunities
Comfortable working in an environment with incomplete information and evolving scope
Strong attention to detail with ability to balance speed and accuracy
Able to coordinate across internal teams and external partners to drive progress
Comfortable communicating directly with customers and partners

Experience with capital equipment procurement, installation, or commissioning
Familiarity with cost estimating, BOMs, and supplier coordination
Exposure to automation systems or industrial equipment
Understanding of manufacturing workflows and production processes
**Experience**
Background in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar roles
Experience supporting quotations, applications engineering, or technical sales support
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
Exposure to working with external vendors or international partners

Experience with presses, automation systems, or material processing equipment
Exposure to FAT/SAT, startup, or commissioning activities
Experience working in a role that bridges engineering and commercial functions
