What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Technician- Electrical position at GASBARRE PRODUCTS?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manages and performs field service activities including installing, maintaining, and servicing new and existing equipment. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Functions and Details:
- Some travel to and from customer facilities located in North America
- Some other international travel may be required.
- Manage equipment installations including other contracted personnel.
- Electrical work such as wiring, power-up, system trouble shooting and debugging
- Mechanical work such as basic fabrication work, general assembly to re-assemble equipment in preparation for startup and commissioning.
- Mechanical work for rebuilding, maintaining, or servicing existing equipment.
- Work with sales, engineering and manufacturing to plan upcoming field service installations and projects.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers to keep them informed of progress, issues, and completion status.
- Communicate feedback to sales, engineering, and manufacturing for continuous improvement of new installations and other field service projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Read both blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Install, connect and test general manufacturing wiring
- PLC/HMI programming
- General Assembly and basic fabrication
- Work independently or with a team.
- Mechanical ability a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Electrical degree or certificate preferred but not required if 2 years of electrical work experience is shown. Familiarity with programming, electrical systems, tools, codes, equipment, and safety procedures is required.
Physical Requirements: This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, heavy lifting and other physical activities.
