Duties
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools to ensure efficient and quality landscape maintenance
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, tree trimming, and planting to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Use power tools and machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment for hardscape installation or repair projects
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients
- Conduct routine inspections of landscapes for pests, disease, or hazards; perform gardening tasks like planting flowers or shrubs as needed
- Support tree care activities including trimming, removal, or planting to promote safety and landscape design goals
- Help with landscape construction projects involving hardscape features like patios or walkways using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and longevity of assets
Experience
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or horticulture is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and small machinery such as excavators is advantageous
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, edging, pruning, and irrigation system management
- Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming and planting
- Experience working with construction or hardscape projects is a plus
- Ability to operate snow plowing equipment during winter seasons is desirable
- Strong understanding of gardening principles and plant health management
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
