Garvin Agee Carlton, PLLC is seeking a motivated and capable Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing team. Practice Areas
This position will involve litigation work across several of the firm’s core practice areas, including:
- Civil rights litigation
- Employment law disputes
- Personal injury and tort claims
- Business and commercial litigation
- Real estate disputes
- Oil and gas litigation
Our associates are given early responsibility and meaningful involvement in cases, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload with supervision from partners
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Participate in discovery, including depositions and written discovery
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma (or pending admission)
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Litigation experience preferred, but not required
