Garry Executive Search is partnering with a with a highly respected, growth-oriented wealth management firm to hire a Tax Consultant/Advisor, a key role that bridges Tax, Financial Planning, and Client Service. What You’ll Do
You’ll support the firm’s Tax and Wealth Advisor teams while owning meaningful client-facing responsibilities, including:
- Partner with Tax and Wealth Advisor teams to prepare for client tax review meetings (data gathering, report generation, follow-up).
- Meet directly with clients to review tax information, answer questions, and help implement tax-efficient planning strategies.
- Prepare and analyze federal and state income tax returns for designated clients.
- Monitor, track, and respond to notices related to federal, state, and local tax matters.
- Ensure clients remain compliant with IRS and state requirements.
- Research tax issues and lead assigned tax-related projects.
- Document client interactions and follow-up in the CRM; coordinate with advisors and external partners as needed.
- Stay current with relevant tax laws and proactively identify planning opportunities.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, math, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (financial services or RIA experience a plus).
- CPA preferred but not required; EA required or ability to obtain.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team.
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office; experience with tax or accounting systems is a plus.
- A service-oriented attitude and genuine interest in helping clients make smart financial decisions.
