.Now Hiring: Part-Time Bus Drivers (Content Specialist 3)
Garrett Transit Service (GTS) is accepting applications for Part-Time Bus Drivers (Content Specialist 3) to provide transportation services including On-Demand Transit, Meals-On-Wheels deliveries, and Head Start transportation.
Hours:
Hours worked per week will vary based on the operational needs of GTS and the availability of the successful applicant.
Compensation & Benefits:
The wage range for this position is $15.85 – $18.16 per hour, based on experience.
Full-time employees receive full benefits including:
- 12 Annual Leave days
- 18 Sick Leave days
- 7 Paid Holidays
- 7 Floating Holidays
Part-time employees receive these benefits on a pro-rated basis.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have, or be able to obtain, a Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class C or higher, with Passenger and School Bus endorsements. Applicants must:
- Have an excellent driving record
- Be able to pass a DOT physical examination
- Be willing to complete Basic First Aid and CPR training
GTS is willing to train and assist the right candidate in obtaining the required CDL.
Location:
GTS’s main facility is located in Oakland, MD. Applicants residing in or near the Grantsville, MD area are strongly encouraged to apply to help staff our Grantsville substation.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
This is a safety-sensitive position. Successful applicants must:
- Pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in random drug testing during employment
- Provide a copy of a current driving record
- Pass a criminal background check
