SUMMARY
Garofalo, Schreiber, Storm & Grant, Chartered (GSSG), a Chicago-based law firm, is seeking a full-time, entry-level associate attorney for its workers’ compensation practice. GSSG is an AV rated, progressive law firm serving the needs of employers in the State of Illinois, and their insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters, subrogation, and employers’ liability. Candidates Should Possess:
· Must possess a J.D. from an accredited ABA law school
· Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois
· Workers’ Compensation experience is a plus, but not required. Ideal candidates will learn the field as they progress in the position.

· Willingness to learn new concepts if unfamiliar with Workers Compensation;

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
· Ability to manage a high volume of time sensitive Workers’ Compensation files and tasks;
· Initial file evaluations, and analysis of medical records;
· Preparation of pleadings;
· Correspondence with clients, experts, and opponents;
· Depositions;
· Trial preparation, and trial appearances.
For this position, full-time associate attorneys will receive health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(K), profit-sharing, vacation and sick leave, and salary commensurate with experience and potential. There is a possibility for a hybrid work schedule for especially qualified candidates.
