WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:
- Study the model and print to program parts to specified dimensions and tolerances using Solidworks CAM/CAMWorks, and other programming methods.
- Program, set up and operate CNC machines (horizontal mill with pallet pool, mill turn lathe with Y axis and sub-spindle, Swiss lathe, & auto saw).
- Work closely with quality control to ensure quality parts and materials. Document in-process inspections.
- Understand work holding and the need for fixturing to implement the most efficient method possible.
- Concurrently run multiple machines.
- Communicate with co-workers.
- Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Analyze processes and provide solutions to problems.
- Reduce setup and cycle times.
- Complete and maintain documentation.
- Assist in other work areas as needed.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:
- CAD/CAM experience. (Solidworks CAM/CAMWorks preferred).
- 2 years of experience required in addition to a technical degree in a related field.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand GD&T, and build to specifications.
- Experience with 3D Software and product data management Software (preferably Solidworks).
- Mathematical skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Technical capacity.
- Time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:
- Climate controlled work environment.
- May be required to work on your feet for 10 – 12 hours.
- Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Dexterous use of both hands.
- Full-time position.
- Scheduled to work five 8 hour shifts per week, although overtime may be required on employee’s day(s) off.
