Job Description:
Garner Dental Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our well-established team. If you’re a Dental Hygienist who loves to learn, grow, and has a desire to work hard for the well-being of others, you may be the ideal candidate we’re looking for! This position offers flexibility with 2-4 days of work per week, providing a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
- Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings and reviewing medical history
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Administer local anesthesia as required
- Take and interpret dental x-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including treatment plans and progress notes
- Follow strict infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Valid IA Dental Hygiene license (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills and attention to detail
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of dental coding for billing and insurance purposes
- Familiarity with dental imaging systems and diagnostic procedures
