Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our Hotel. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Your hands-on expertise, combined with your leadership skills, will help us deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of facility management.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components.
- Conduct repairs using welding techniques, electrical experience, and mechanical knowledge to resolve issues promptly.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose problems accurately.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
- Supervise or assist with projects that involve manufacturing processes or large-scale repairs, ensuring safety compliance at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred for overseeing maintenance projects or team members.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for efficient work order management is a plus.
