Behavior Health Technician (BHT)

GBS is an IBHS-ABA company that provides 1:1 center-based ABA therapy to young children with autism. Technician hours are 8:30am-3pm Monday through Friday. Technicians provide one-on-one therapy and are assigned to a client for the day. Additional home hours after sessions or on weekends may be available for staff upon receipt of RBT certification.

Please note: GBS is not a daycare or a preschool. GBS is an intensive therapy center for children with Autism.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or higher degree

· Clearances (child abuse, criminal and fingerprints). HR will need to see original paperwork, clearances cannot be more than 6 months old

· Mandated reporter

· Physical ability to perform job duties (up and down off the floor, little chairs, quick moving with children)

· Mental ability to perform job duties (ability to have fun and maintain client confidentiality)

· Intellectual ability to perform job duties (English reading skills, basic math skills, excel and MS Word experience)

BHT starts at $15/hr. Upon RBT certification (must pass RBT exam.. 40 hr training is NOT RBT certification) staff move to $21/hr for billable and prep activities. RBT certification and Bachelors degree hourly pay is $23/hr.

GBS Therapy Centers are in Lycoming, Clinton and Northumberland counties, Pennsylvania. Travel from one center to another is periodically required to ensure client coverage. Please note: A valid driver’s license is a mandatory requirement for this position. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Initial day of orientation is at the Lycoming County office, remainder of orientation is at your assigned home site. The first two weeks of orientation include online trainings. One flat fee will be paid upon the completion of the online trainings, 40-hour RBT and IBHS.
