We are seeking a full-time Aviation Parts and Equipment Coordinator at our Mesa, AZ location. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating parts programs, tools programs, technical publications programs, and other resources to support aircraft maintenance, modification, and certification.
Essential Functions
- Maintain parts room, tool and equipment program, and technical library for FAA part 145 repair station
- Work with OEM’s, dealers, and vendors to acquire parts, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain and/or arrange for maintenance of tools and equipment
- Assist with maintaining FAA part 145 repair station documents
- Schedule and allocate parts and equipment resources to support aircraft projects
- Assist with FAA and company conformity requirements for Garmin certification efforts
- Assist in development and verification of new installation documentation
- Coordinate with outside customers and internal Garmin groups to communicate, execute and meet aircraft project goals
- Participate in product development and certification planning efforts
- Compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements
- Support the development and maintenance of processes and procedures as necessary
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years experience in ordering parts/equipment, stocking and maintaining an inventory
- 5 years experience working with end customers, tracking order progress and ensuring order requirements are met
- Proficient with IBM PC and Microsoft Office Products
- Team player who can work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision and has exceptional organizational skills
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must possess the ability to routinely bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. while using safe lifting techniques; pushing/pulling equipment up to 100 lbs.; standing and sitting for extended periods of time; kneeling and stooping; walking long distances throughout the facility; repetitive motion; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with aircraft maintenance
- Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or above equivalent experience
- 3 years experience with an FAA 14 CFR 145 Repair Station
- 5 years experience in supplying parts and equipment for aircraft maintenance and modification
- 5 years experience working with aviation OEM’s, aviation dealers, and aviation vendors
- Working understanding of the FAA conformity process
- Working relationship with the FAA
