Field Project Engineer
Overview:
The Field Project Engineer supports Project Management and acts as the primary bridge between field teams and office operations. This role owns documentation, design validation, communication flow, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Champion all safety policies and promote company values.

Support PMs through RFP reviews, scope validation, constructability checks, and design discrepancy resolution.

Lead field validation of telecom design; identify conflicts and drive RFIs and change management.

Maintain current drawing sets, redlines, as‑builts, and project documentation.

Compile and validate cable test results (OTDR, power meter, etc.).

Manage dashboards, trackers, and reporting to ensure real‑time visibility into progress and issues.

Coordinate with superintendents on installation methods, labor planning, and material needs.

Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and quality standards.

Communicate proactively with internal teams, GC, and customer stakeholders.

Prepare closeout packages and ensure timely, accurate submittals.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute).

5 years in construction; structured cabling or data center experience strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of safety protocols, estimating, engineering practices, and scheduling.

Skilled in RFIs, change events, QA/QC, and project documentation.

Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Textura, and related construction tech.

OSHA‑30 and BICSI TECH preferred (OSHA‑30 required within 6 months).
Salary : $43 - $45
