What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Garlock & McKinney?
The law firm of Garlock & McKinney, P.C., a small Black Mountain, North Carolina firm, is looking for an associate attorney to join their team on a partnership track. The firm’s primary practice areas are Estate Administration and Probate Law, Guardianships, Trusts, Estate Planning, and comprehensive Fiduciary Services.
We are looking for a person with an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to have a career with the firm. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience practicing law (preferably in North Carolina and in the firm's practice areas) or a combination of years of experience practicing law and other applicable and transferable professional work experience. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently manage a case load as assigned by the partners, be a problem solver, be willing to learn on their own, and will take initiative to quickly become proficient in firm practice areas.
Initial compensation will be a salary based on experience with the opportunity for profit sharing.
