Job Overview
Garick Topeka Biomass Facility is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently handle loading, unloading, and material movement within our facility. This role primarily involves working with flatbed trucks and vans, moving finished goods to designated storage areas, and assisting with other tasks during downtime as needed.
Duties
- Must be able to load and unload flatbed trucks and vans safely and efficiently
- Transport finished goods to appropriate storage or staging areas
- Operate forklifts in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
- Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Assist with general yard, warehouse, or operational tasks during downtime
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with any other duties assigned
Requirements
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to safely operate forklifts in a fast-paced environment
- Must follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Forklift certification required (re-certification will be provided on site)
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays when required
- Reliable, punctual, and team oriented
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Schedule
- Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Overtime Required
- Saturdays may be required
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
- All required PPE provided
