Part-Time Temporary Retail Store Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Part-Time Temporary Retail Store Maintenance Technician to keep our store environment safe, functional, and welcoming. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs across various store facilities in Blair, Cambria, Indiana, Huntingdon and St. College areas. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to ensure our retail space operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Sales Floor Upkeep: Repair damaged display racks and touch up interior paint and drywall.
• Basic Trade Repairs: Troubleshoot minor plumbing issues (clogs, leaks), clean windows and replace burnt-out retail lighting.
• Safety: Ensure compliance of all safety codes
• Vendor Escort: Greet and guide specialized contractors (HVAC, fire safety) during scheduled service appointments.
• Waste Management: Oversee trash removal, cardboard baling and external sidewalk cleanliness.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven handyman or basic maintenance experience, plumbing and electrical experience preferred. Ideally in a customer-facing, retail or manufacturing environment.
• Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work outside of standard operating hours to minimize disruption to shoppers.
• Physical Ability: Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and remain on your feet for extended shifts.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with store director, managers, staff and customers.
• Clean Driving Record - This position will be driving a company van and may, on occasion, deliver items to retail stores.
• Ability to work part-time hours flexibly while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
