The Coordinator of Nursing and Exercise Science Admissions is a full-time position primarily responsible for processing applications and maintaining student records for programs within the Hunt School of Nursing and Department of Exercise Science. This position collaborates with Program Directors/Chairs, Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, and other university personnel to recruit, review, and process applications and to maintain accurate student records in support of program progression, accreditation, and reporting requirements. This is an on-campus position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains student records for all Nursing and Exercise Science programs necessary for progression, accreditation compliance, and required reports to external agencies (e.g., state boards, accrediting bodies, and other regulatory organizations).
- Secures and maintains photo documentation for program, graduation, recruitment, marketing, and visibility needs across Nursing and Exercise Science.
- Oversees public-facing documents, including handbooks, brochures, recruitment materials, and other promotional content for both program areas.
- Maintains and updates program websites and social media platforms in coordination with university marketing and program leadership.
- In collaboration with Program Chairs, collects and maintains data to support systematic evaluation plans, program assessment, accreditation standards, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students regarding admission processes for Nursing and Exercise Science programs.
- Communicates with prospective students regarding admission criteria, program requirements, and timelines.
- Reviews all applications as appropriate for each Nursing and Exercise Science program.
- Coordinates admissions review processes for each program, including scheduling meetings and preparing applicant materials.
- Assists Program Directors/Chairs with applicant evaluation and admission selection processes.
- Verifies entrance exam scores and other required admission documentation, when applicable.
- Prepares and releases decision letters and related documentation for admission and/or progression within Nursing and Exercise Science programs.
- Provides student information to clinical coordinators, internship coordinators, or other designated personnel, as requested, to support clinical placement, practicum, internship, or experiential learning onboarding requirements.
- In collaboration with Program Directors/Chairs, plans and facilitates student orientations for Nursing and Exercise Science programs.
- Attends departmental and program meetings and serves as recorder as needed.
- Coordinates student activities and special functions for Nursing and Exercise Science programs.
- Assists with recruitment initiatives, including information sessions, open houses, campus visit days, and community outreach events.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills in all interactions.
- Promotes positive working relationships with university personnel, faculty, accrediting bodies, clinical and community partners, and external agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Computer competence, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and web-based systems.
