Registered Pharmacy Technician

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Registered Pharmacy Technician position. This is a full-time position based out of the South County Health Center located in Gilroy, CA.  The Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performs duties of a non-discretionary nature as allowed by the California State Board of Pharmacy. These duties shall include: accepting written prescriptions, typing labels, removing the drug or drugs from stock, counting, pouring or mixing pharmaceuticals, placing the product into a container, affixing the label or labels to the container, prepackaging medications, involvement in inventory control, accepting refill prescription information, non-discretionary communication with patients and healthcare professionals, handling cash, insurance billing and maintaining supplies. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is very important. The successful candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish. 

HIRING BONUS!

Gardner Health Services is now offering a $4,000 hiring bonus for qualified Pharmacy Technicians! Pharmacy Technicians will be paid half of the bonus at the time of hire and half at the successful completion of 6-months employment. The bonus will be prorated based on level of full-time equivalency (FTE).

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Current or pending registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program highly preferred but not required
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting preferred but not required 
• Bilingual in Spanish required

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.

Registered Pharmacy Technician: $22.27 - $28.21/Hourly
