We are looking for vibrant, friendly and hard-working individuals to join our team and help with office needs at our psychiatric practice. Primary responsibilities would include welcoming and responding to patient needs by answering the phone and responding to messages from patients, collecting copays, scheduling appointments, and a variety of other tasks to help the practice run smoothly for patients and our staff. Additional tasks may include checking insurance coverage, collecting balances, troubleshoot errors in claims submissions, and sending patient statements. This is a fast-paced environment where excellent attention to detail skills are vital. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain electronic medical records
- Coordinate with providers to ensure efficient patient flow
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or medical office preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with phone systems and basic office equipment
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
