What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admin Assistant I position at Gardena?

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Files- Keep track of alphabetical- open and completed- and numerical files.
  • Process weekly wire transfer payables
  • Special Projects- Assist Manager with running reports, quotation packets, correspondence, and pricing projects and other projects and clerical duties as needed.
  • Office Supplies- order supplies to fill company-wide needs.  Keep stock in supply closet for immediate needs.
  • Process receiving- print and match receiving documents with packing slips and give to accounts payable.
  • Purchase Order Processing- place P.O.’s, enter, scan requisitions, print, separate, distribute, log and file purchase orders.
  • Printer/Copy Machines – maintain stock of printing cartridges and order service/maintenance when needed.

 

What are the requirements for this position?

  • Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
  • Ability to communicate and understand information and ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Effective organizational, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work semi-independently, make basic decisions, and use good judgment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Aptitude and desire to quickly obtain new skills and undertake challenges
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time, and workload to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
  • Generally, 0-2 years of related experience
  • Ability to type 50 wpm
