We're hiring a Production Manager to lead day-to-day execution of our exterior contracting projects across New Jersey. Reporting to the Sales & General Manager, you'll own the full project lifecycle from sales handoff to completion — managing up to 25 concurrent projects, coordinating crews and subcontractors, enforcing quality and safety standards, and protecting gross margins while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Oversee all active projects from sales handoff through final completion, managing up to 25 concurrent jobs.
- Coordinate crew assignments, subcontractor scheduling, material procurement, and delivery logistics.
- Conduct site visits, progress inspections, pre-construction meetings, and final client walkthroughs.
- Survey projects to confirm measurements, develop accurate material lists, and validate job costing.
- Recruit, vet, onboard, and manage a stable network of 15–20 qualified subcontractors.
- Enforce quality standards through structured checkpoints and rapid response to warranty issues.
- Directly manage production crews and field supervisors; recruit, train, and develop skilled trades personnel.
- Conduct weekly production meetings, daily standups, and enforce OSHA compliance across all sites.
- Maintain minimum 55% gross profit margin; manage project budgets up to $250,000 with full P&L accountability.
- Monitor project costs and labor efficiency in QuickBooks and HouzzPro; conduct weekly financial reviews.
- Handle change orders, scope modifications, punch lists, and timeline exceptions.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing on accurate estimation, scope clarification, and project handoffs.
- 5 years in residential or commercial exterior contracting, with 2 years in production management or operations leadership.
- Demonstrated experience managing 15 concurrent projects with full P&L accountability.
- Hands-on knowledge of one or more trades: masonry, siding, stucco, stone veneer, waterproofing, roofing, or windows.
- Proven track record recruiting, vetting, and managing subcontractors and field crews.
- Strong financial acumen — comfortable with job costing, gross margin management, and budget oversight.
- Proficiency with HouzzPro, QuickBooks, or comparable construction management software.
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead crews, manage subs, and de-escalate customer concerns.
- Valid NJ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Familiarity with the New Jersey contracting market and local subcontractor networks.
- Prior experience with NJ Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) compliance, permitting, and licensing.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
