Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all shop production activities to ensure monthly production goals are achieved
• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, updating daily to reflect progress and changes
• Coordinate with project management to review drawings, timelines, and upcoming production requirements
• Lead daily production meetings and end-of-day reviews to ensure alignment and completion of scheduled work
• Manage purchase orders, material planning, and vendor coordination to maintain production flow
• Monitor inventory levels, tool availability, and material usage to reduce waste and control costs
• Supervise shop personnel, enforce attendance policies, and handle performance management and discipline
• Ensure all production documentation, tracking sheets, and quality checkpoints are completed accurately
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including logistics coordination and documentation (BOLs, packing lists)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment aligned with company standards
• Lead health and safety initiatives, including OSHA compliance, training, and incident management
• Track labor, production costs, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with budget and goals
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
• 4 years of production management experience in precast concrete or fabrication of architectural products
• 2 years of experience working with shop or architectural drawings
• 2 years of experience in production planning and scheduling
• 2 years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing
• Strong leadership and team management skills in a production or shop environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities simultaneously
• Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and vendor coordination
• Knowledge of production cost tracking and budgeting (COGS awareness)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in precast concrete or custom fabrication environments
• Background in structured production systems or scheduling software (Optimizer/MRP tools)
• Experience leading safety programs and OSHA compliance initiatives
