Facility Maintenance Tech

Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Operations / Maintenance

Reports To: Facility Manager/ Facility Supervisor

Overview:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient, safe, and clean operation of our production and retail facilities.

Job Requirements:

• Perform maintenance on packaging machines
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with production and Maintenance teams to improve line efficiency and performance.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations.

• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, or overtime if necessary.
• At least 21 years of age
• Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to engage in creating an amicable work environment
• Ability to comply with all Cannabis Control Commission regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent computer operating skills

Preferred Experience:

• Working knowledge of Electrical, Pneumatics, and their industrial applications
• General carpentry skills

Responsibilities:

• Ability to read, analyze, understand and trouble shoot manuals and schematics
• Able to manage preventive maintenance, as well as day to day operations of commercial buildings including but not limited to:
• • Replacing light bulbs
  • Shoveling snow
  • Equipment repair
  • Chaperone contractors
  • Miscellaneous minor building repairs
  • Other miscellaneous routine maintenance tasks
  • Spot cleaning and painting as needed to maintain a clean and professional facility
  • Assist with installations and assembly as needed in Fitchburg and occasionally in Garden Remedies’ dispensaries
  • Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to work with and negotiate with vendors
• Flexibility within multiple work environments
• Performs preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Working knowledge of either HVAC, Electrical, Pneumatics, and their commercial application strongly desired
• Fluency in computers and applicable programs
• High school diploma or GED required
• 21 years of age or older
