As a Training Instructor, you will be responsible for developing a professionally trained workforce in detention operations as well as advanced techniques.
Duties/Responsibilities:

During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary:
As a Training Instructor, you will be responsible for developing a professionally trained workforce in detention operations as well as advanced techniques.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create and implement comprehensive training materials focused on detention and security operations.
- Design, develop, and maintain all "train the trainer" programs, as well as deliver direct instruction in specialized tactical and use of force areas.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver courses, workshops, and seminars, including classroom instruction and practical exercises.
- Maintain thorough documentation to ensure the training program aligns with current standards and accurately record program operations in relation to those standards, program design, and existing policies and procedures.
- Establish policies, procedures, tactics, doctrine, and training requirements for the training program.
- Must possess an instructor certification from a state or nationally recognized institution.
- Must possess at least one year of training instructor experience in law enforcement, security, jail/detention operations, or related field.
- Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
- If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
- Must consent to fingerprinting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug screening.
- Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
