We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning and maintenance team. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and quality standards
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance
- Oversee floor care operations including carpet cleaning, waxing, and polishing to maintain aesthetic appeal
- Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance and front desk to address guest needs and facility issues
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations related to janitorial and industrial cleaning practices
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to cleanliness promptly and professionally
- Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, staffing needs, and supply requirements for management review
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within hospitality, hotel, or industrial cleaning environments
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, and general janitorial practices
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
- Experience with custodial management systems is preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to train staff effectively on safety procedures and cleaning protocols
