Role Description
This is a on-site role located in SFO, CA, for a WMS Test Lead. The WMS Test Lead will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end testing activities for warehouse management systems. Daily responsibilities include creating and executing test strategies, planning and managing test cases, coordinating test execution, and identifying areas for quality improvements. The Test Lead will collaborate with stakeholders and teams to ensure seamless integration, accuracy, and excellence in software delivery.

Job Summary:
- Client is seeking a highly skilled WMS Test Lead / Sr. Tester to oversee quality assurance activities for its Warehouse Management Systems,
- Primarily focused on monitoring and validating inbound, inventory control, and outbound warehouse operations.
- The candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Blue Yonder (BY) WMS and its integrations with related platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute QA efforts for WMS/TMS implementations and enhancements, ensuring high test coverage across warehouse workflows.
- Validate key operational flows including inbound receiving, putaway, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to review requirements and define comprehensive test scenarios.
- Prepare and execute manual test cases; validate API and backend data using Postman and SQL queries.
- Utilize Jira for defect tracking and sprint-level test planning.
- Monitor warehouse logs and data interfaces via tools like WinSCP and provide timely triage and root cause analysis.
- Perform system, regression, and integration testing for Blue Yonder 2023.1 WMS and supporting systems (ERP, TMS, etc.).
- Provide QA signoffs and participate in go/no-go decisions for warehouse releases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- QA experience with WMS QA, preferably with Blue Yonder (formerly JDA).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations: inbound, inventory, and outbound processes.
- Experience testing integrations with ERP and TMS systems.
- Proficiency in tools like Postman, Jira, TestRail/Zephyr, and WinSCP.
- Hands-on experience with API validation, file-based integrations, and backend database validations.
