Job Description:
Leads the design and implementation of automated patching and vulnerability remediation solutions across database platforms (DB2, CockroachDB, AlloyDB Omni) as part of Project Mythos follow-up. Focuses on delivering secure, resilient, and fully automated database operations in hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated, end-to-end patching and remediation solutions.
- Manage vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Build scalable, resilient architectures across hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Develop automation using Python, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with DB2 (required).
- Experience with distributed databases (CockroachDB, PostgreSQL/AlloyDB preferred).
- Experience with automated patching / vulnerability remediation.
- Knowledge of container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Proficiency in Python and automation frameworks.
- Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
- Exposure to observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing).
- Experience with large-scale, multi-tenant platforms.
