Assembler
- Required: (Experience, education or training that this employee must have.)
- *A minimum of one (1) year experience as an assembler in a production environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- *Ability to understand and accurately follow detailed verbal and written instruction.
- *Ability to routinely lift and maneuver weights to fifty (50) pounds.
- *Ability to read detailed and complex blueprints and shop drawings.
- *Ability to read, write and speak English.
- *A good attendance record.
- Ability to instruct others in assembly procedures and techniques.
- *Good written and oral communications skills.
- *Working knowledge of shop math sufficient to accurately calculate dimensions and angles and to facilitate accurate machining set-ups.
- *A general knowledge of tooling design, form and function.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- *Within three (3) months of the hire date, this employee will be required to possess personal tools as follows: 16’ tape measure, 12” scale, 6” calipers, (1ea) Phillips and standard screwdrivers, standard set of Allen wrenches.
- Preferred: (Other experience or training that we would like this employee to have.)
- Two (2) years assembly experience.
- Primary Functions: (The primary duties assigned to this employee.)
- *Accurately interprets planning, blueprints and/or master drawings to determine requirements for assembly.

- *Assembles all parts, materials, fasteners, etc., necessary to complete the assembly.
- *Makes set-ups and operate machinery as necessary to accomplish all steps in the assembly process, to include, but not limited to: straightening, cutting, milling, drilling, countersinking, sandblasting, notching, etc.
- *Visually and dimensionally inspects parts and assemblies to ensure that all requirements for dimension, form and finish have been met.
- *At completion of assembly, tears down set-up(s) and cleans and stores tooling as required.
- *Performs housekeeping functions as required to maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Indoctrinates new employees in acceptable assembly procedures and practices when required.
- *If assigned to specific equipment, this employee will assume responsibility for daily servicing and inspection, and will actively coordinate to arrange special maintenance or to make needed repairs.
- *The employee is responsible for the quality of the work he or she performs, and for notifying appropriate personnel when existing non-conformities are discovered in work received from prior functions. This includes errors in documentation as well as quality-related characteristics of the manufactured product.
