GameXChange is a fast paced retail establishment focused on selling and buying anything in the Pop Culture, Gaming and Tech sectors! As a retail associate you will help our customers through transactions, stock the store, and do cleaning as needed.
We start at $9.50 an hour with regular raises based on performance.
Employees have a 10% discount on used product.
Employees are able to rent games and accessories as well as hold most incoming product for pay day.
Managers are instructed to work with employees on scheduling and offer flexible scheduling. We work with employees within reason so people with second jobs, people with children and students are encouraged to apply.
Employees Schedules will usually include a morning shift, a night shift, and at least one weekend day per week to keep it fair with the other employees.
We are required to work Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and the day after Christmas.
We are closed for Easter and Christmas.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Utilize up-selling techniques to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately while ensuring a smooth checkout process.
- Maintain stock levels on the sales floor by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise effectively.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Testing customer trades for functionality.
- Basic cleaning of the store that includes: dusting, vacuuming, organization, wipe downs, and trash removal.
Skills
- Strong retail sales skills with a proven ability to sell products effectively.
- Experience in cash handling and operating cash registers in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining store appearance and stock levels.
- Alphabetization skills are a must.
- Customer service is a must!! We are customer forward.
- The ability to adapt to new information, we are constantly being exposed to new and retro tech that not many people have experience with. Your ability to adapt to new knowledge and your willingness to learn is crucial.
