About the Role
We are looking for an Estimator to complement our estimating department. This position ideally will be someone with several years of experience, able to take on large complex projects and work closely with coworkers to meet bid deadlines. This role also seeks a strong relationship-management ability and will allow the right person to grow client and vendor relationships.
What You'll Do
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for basketball systems, divider curtains, wall pads, bleachers, and related athletic equipment scopes on large and complex projects.
- Communication with vendors, clients, and coworkers.
- Provide occasional in-person support at pre-bid meetings and client visits.
- Perform quantity takeoffs; read plans and specifications, determine and verify the scope of work.
- Negotiate with material, equipment, and labor vendors.
- Utilize and manage GCS's bidding process, from scope review through bid submission.
- Follow up proactively with general contractors after bids are submitted — staying current on job status throughout project life cycle.
- Report on bidding activity.
- Help identify opportunities to bid and coordinate with Business Development Manager.
- Be determined to provide industry leading service to clients.
- Build trust and long-term relationships with general contractors/clients.
- Aid estimating department to develop strategies and processes for major accounts and complex scopes of work.
- Work trade shows and attend other related events
What You Bring
- 3 years of project management or estimating background in construction with a genuine interest in the athletic equipment industry.
- Strong communication skills with contractors and clients.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to office daily in Austin.
- Estimating Systems - Excel, Procore, BuildingConnected, estimating software.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
