Paralegal/ legal assistant/ legal secretary in a law firm that practice Criminal Law, Family Law, and Personal Injury Law
· Must be bilingual in Spanish.
· Experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant or paralegal required.
· Receive incoming communications - Answer all incoming calls, taking accurate notes, relay messages to the appropriate parties.
· Scheduling appointments and calendaring.
· Preparing legal documents for attorney's review.
· Preparing and Processing new client intakes and files, updating case status on Abacus and maintaining files.
· Ideal candidate requires a strong work ethic and organizational skills, works with minimal direction, is computer savvy, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work under pressure, good team player.
· Ability to identify urgent tasks and prioritize time accordingly.
· Strong spelling, grammar and proof-reading ability.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Abacus, and Google Calendar
Pay is dependent on experience and knowledge
