Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. We're in need of a Seasonal Server to work during the holidays. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, a strong understanding of food safety, and the ability to manage time effectively. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests while ensuring that all food and beverage orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all items meet our quality standards.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and address any guest concerns regarding their meals.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for processing payments.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and requests simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
