Cook/Prep

We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.

This is a physically active position that requires someone who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in keeping a kitchen organized and prepared for service.

What you'll be doing:

• Food prep
• Preparing salads and pizzas
• Portioning and labeling food
• Stocking and organizing coolers and shelves
• Washing dishes as needed
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen organization
• Assisting the chef with daily prep and service

This is not a position where you'll spend the day standing in one place. You'll constantly be moving between prep, stocking, cleaning, and helping wherever needed.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous restaurant kitchen experience (preferred)
• Is dependable and shows up ready to work
• Works quickly without sacrificing quality
• Can stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Doesn't need constant direction
• Takes initiative when something needs to be done
• Can lift 50 lbs and remain on their feet throughout the shift

Schedule:
Evenings and weekends are required.

- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to move quickly and work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed

Note: This job description is for a Prep Cook position in a family owned restaurant. The main responsibilities of the Prep Cook are to assist in food preparation and ensure that all food items are prepared according to recipes and portion control guidelines. Assist during lunch/dinner service. The Prep Cook should have basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have strong attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also important for this role.
