Job Description
GALT Aerospace is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to perform Electronics System Design and Platform Installation Design related to Communication Mission Payload Systems. Program life cycle phases include planning, development, test, and integration of complex airborne communications systems and supporting electronic hardware systems. This individual will take task ownership on hardware for multiple systems and programs, as a responsible design engineer (RDE), and may require creating and briefing technical decisions, trade-offs, functional capabilities, and performance. Engineering responsibilities include wireless communication system architecture design, detailed electrical system design, and RF modeling, simulation, test, and analysis of new and existing systems. Additional program life cycle responsibilities include evaluation of hardware in the lab, site integration, and post-delivery support. This position requires working in a fast-paced, cross-functional collaborative team environment of Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Flight Engineering, Product/Project Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Program Management for meeting cost, schedule and technical performance goals.
The ideal candidate has a broad range of experience with design, integration, and test of at least one or more of the following:
- System and Platform level electronic design, development, test, and integration
- Communications System Analysis, design, development, test, platform integration, and post-delivery support
- RF Modeling and Simulation, Link Budget Estimates, Cascade Analysis, Cosite Interference Analysis, Antenna specification / selection, RF Component selection (PA and LNA), and RF Electronics Design (RF filters), RF measurements
- Familiar with Ansys suite (HFSS, EMIT), MATLAB, and other RF tools and test equipment

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education
- Masters of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree from an accredited institution
- Design and test experience in comm systems / RF technology
- Integration of various Military radios on an airborne platform
Physical Requirements

Salary
At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The pay range for this role is Level I: $84,000 - $96,000 and Level II: $96,000 - $115,000, candidate's base pay is determined on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
