Job Description
GALT Aerospace is seeking a full-time salaried Contracts Specialist that would report to the Contracts Manager with the ability to independently operate across a variety of commercial and government contracts from cradle to grave. Responsibilities include:
o Drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing contracts, such as Subcontracts, Consulting Agreements, Purchase Orders, NDAs, etc.
o Supporting Contracts Manager in the evaluation, negotiation, and review of Prime contracts with the United States Government (DoD).

o Providing guidance to program teams regarding contractual rights and obligations, including interpretation of terms and conditions.
o Providing guidance to junior contracts specialist.
o Supporting the contract lifecycle management workflow (i.e. proposals, contract execution, contract closeout).
o Maintaining detailed contract records.
o Tracking contract deadlines.
o Assisting with continuous improvement of GALT processes, procedures, policies, and other compliance documentation.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education
o Bachelor's Degree in relevant area
o 6 years' experience in government contracting
o U.S. Citizenship
o Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance
o Proposal development supporting responses to RFP/RFQ/RFIs
o Familiar with commercial contracts (subcontract agreements, consulting agreements, etc.)
o Familiar with FAR/DFARS non-commercial (FAR Part 15) and commercial (FAR Part 12) acquisition
o Attention to detail
o Negotiation skills
o Strong oral and written communications skills
o Strong critical and analytical thinking
o Ability to take initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and work well under pressure
o Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic environment

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education
o Secret Clearance
o Juris Doctorate Degree
o Research & Development
o Familiar with ISO quality standards in a production/manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

o Occasionally move about the facility
o Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery

Pay Scale
At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $100,000-$120,000, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
