What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement and Contracts Specialist position at ALPHA OMEGA GROUP LLC?
Position Summary:
This position provides comprehensive support to the procurement and contracting functions of the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the contract closeout process, co-administering the procurement management system, providing procurement technician support, and acting as the lead for various audits and inspections. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Closeout Management
- Lead the organization's contract closeout efforts, ensuring that all contracts are retired in a timely and compliant manner.
- Develop, establish, and administer a sustainable, ongoing process for all future contract closeouts.
- Manage all tasks and documentation related to the complete contract closeout lifecycle.
- Procurement Systems Administration
- Serve as a co-lead administrator for the organization’s procurement system (e.g., CON-IT), including associated modules and databases.
- Establish and manage an official process for assigning incoming purchase requests to appropriate personnel.
- Oversee future system data migrations and act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting and help desk support.
- Procurement and Administrative Support
- Serve as the organization's Procurement Technician, assisting with the distribution and official filing of contract documents.
- Act as the official Records Custodian, ensuring all files are maintained in accordance with policy.
- Actively manage and maintain the accuracy of the contract portfolio data on the organization's SharePoint site.
- Provide administrative support for the in-processing and out-processing of all team members.
- Audits and Inspections
- Act as the primary point of contact and lead for all miscellaneous contract file inspections and audits from internal and external entities (e.g., IG, FIAR, SBA).
- Prepare and organize documentation to ensure successful audit and inspection outcomes.
Additional Duties:
- Serve as a designated backup for other team members to ensure continuity of operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
