A Taste of What You’ll Do

As a Sales Account Specialist – New Business, you’ll play a critical role in expanding Gallo’s presence across retail and on‑premise accounts by bringing our New Business portfolio to life. This role is focused on building strong customer relationships, creating brand advocates, and executing against brand standards that drive visibility, trial, and long‑term growth. You’ll serve as the primary connection between Gallo and your assigned accounts, representing our brands with confidence, authenticity, and purpose.

In this role, you’ll be in the market regularly, engaging with customers to influence shelf placement, cold box execution, menu features, displays, and point‑of‑sale materials. You’ll activate brands through tastings, demos, and trainings, ensuring account teams understand our brand stories and feel confident recommending our portfolio. Your ability to translate strategy into action will help ensure brand standards are executed consistently across all channels.

You’ll collaborate closely with distributor partners and internal sales teams, using insights, data, and technology to identify opportunities and track performance. From executing brand activations to supporting business development initiatives, you’ll balance planning with action while maintaining a strong focus on results. This role offers the opportunity to think boldly, take ownership, and make a visible impact on Gallo’s New Business growth in your assigned market.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of Gallo Winery sales or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of winery sales, distiller sales, distributor sales, direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of winery sales, distiller sales, distributor sales direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by air, car, and or train up to 80% during the course of business.
  • Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include evenings and weekends.
  • Require to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locally.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You’ll Stand Out

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo Winery sales or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales or marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience addressing customer needs a primary focus of one’s actions; experience building positive relationships with customers (translates as both internal and external).
  • Skilled in commanding presence and adapting presentations to engage, inform, and inspire a variety of audiences.

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.   • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.
