Field Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

The Field Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day field leadership and supervision for a team of HVAC Service Technicians who work on installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC and controls systems for commercial customers. The Field Supervisor will play an important role in mentoring and training our team of HVAC Service Technicians and elevating the skill level of the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively supervise, train, and develop a team of HVAC Service Technicians.
• Provides technical support to technicians encountering complex issues – helping to troubleshoot problems, offer guidance, or additional training.
• Train team to test electrical circuits, wire components, and electrical equipment; inspect and test different HVAC systems; comply to safety regulations; and ensure employees acquire necessary certifications.
• Ensures schedule and workload are transferred to dispatch/SBM.
• Go on service calls as necessary.
• Ensuring that all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant safety regulations is paramount – implementing safety protocols and enforcing safety standards.
• A true leader attitude with a focus on training and leading his/her team.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in HVAC service preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and installations, with experience working with various types of commercial HVAC equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and complex technical issues.
• Possess excellent coaching and training skills.
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of and proficiency in office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to navigate other business applications as well as smartphones and iPads.
• This position may be working in diverse conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
• This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds.
• EPA Certification Preferred.
