Deputy Sheriff
The Gallia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking motivated, qualified men and women to fill the role of Deputy Sheriff Positions. If you are at least 21 years old, certified by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission, have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and have a high school diploma or equivalent and you think you have what it takes to join a team of law enforcement professionals that are making a difference, then look no further.
The Gallia County Sheriff’s application process includes a written examination , an oral interview, a fitness test, a psychological examination, a pre-employment CVSA examination, an extensive background investigation, and a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
Applicants are required to fill out an application and submit the application, a resume and a Pre-Employment Questionnaire on the day of the written examination. All documents, including a pay scale, are available on the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office webpage at www.galliasheriff.org or can be picked up in person at the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday at 537 2nd Avenue. Gallipolis, Ohio. Completed applications should be emailed to hmcasto@gallianet.net or mailed/ dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office.
