We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation & Service Technician to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fire alarm inspection, service, troubleshooting, installation, and certification. We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and maintaining life safety systems to the highest standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of fire alarm inspection, service, and installation experience
• Experience troubleshooting and servicing commercial fire alarm systems
• Knowledge of fire alarm codes, standards, and certification procedures
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET certification or equivalent fire alarm certifications
• Experience with leading fire alarm manufacturers and systems
• State of Michigan Fire Alarm experience
• OSHA safety training

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems
• Install and program fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial facilities
• Diagnose and repair system issues efficiently and professionally
• Complete accurate service documentation and reports
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and company standards
• Maintain positive customer relationships while representing Gallagher Fire Equipment Co.
