Overview
Our IT organization continues to grow and we are seeking to hire an Enterprise Architect. Creating business value and improved outcomes through architectural leadership and strategic enterprise planning, you will oversee and manage the business, application, information, integration and technology architecture, models and policies to ensure they are in line with the IT strategy and business objectives. Our Enterprise Architects maintain a global view to ensure IT projects deliver both functional and enterprise value and are woven seamlessly into the overall business and technology landscape.
This position can be fully remote/virtual/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US or Canada.
How you'll make an impact
- Serve as the technical advisors to the Executive Leadership
- Own strategy and vision for business, application, information, and technology architectures and define architecture North Stars for GBS
- Define and recommend future enterprise level IT/architecture strategy roadmaps.
- Set the strategic direction for the EA organization that is aligned with the needs and plans of business across company
- Drive the development of enterprise architecture standards, processes and artifacts at an Enterprise level
- Think outside the box and drive the team to develop new ideas, concepts and solutions to meet new requirements, unarticulated needs or existing needs
- Communicates and enforces EA standards, processes & procedures to GBS, GBS IT, and GTS to ensure compliance & collect feedback
- Leads governance ARB & SARB processes & defines and guides maintenance Architecture Engagement Process, Tech Standards and Ref. Architectures
- Assess and evaluate new technologies and software to determine usability and value in enhancing business processes.
- Set architecture principles and standards (in collaboration with DAs and SAs) and manage a central architecture repository / SharePoint site.
- Ensure compliance with established and emerging standards, including regulatory requirements, through collaboration with Cyber Security team and participation on Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) & Strategic Architecture Review Boards (SARB)
- Catalyze the architecture community of practice (CoP) and manage Architecture repositories (e.g., tech standards, artifacts, etc.)
- Facilitate application health assessment and technology debt identification (including application portfolio rationalization)
- Provide metrics, guidance and mentoring across the enterprise’s architecture community.
- EA special projects related to technology architecture – such as M365 architecture, M&A support, etc.
About You
- Experience driving the development of enterprise architecture standards, processes, and artifacts at an enterprise level.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in application solution development; 5 years in cloud solution development
- Experience communicating and enforcing enterprise architecture standards, processes & procedures ensuring compliance and collecting feedback
- Experience conceptualizing, architecting, and developing application solutions to solve business challenges
- Knowledge of industry developments, business information systems and practices, development methods, procedures, standards, techniques, Agile application life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration of code development, and cloud technologies.
- Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, sufficient to develop and present management briefings; provide written and/or verbal guidance on technical issues; and prepare/present recommendations and reports; collaborate, educate, and negotiate with peers.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures, develop requirements and identify system solutions in detailed orientated terms.
- Experience leading and managing the design, development and deployment of performant, scalable business software
- Ability to integrate cloud services with on premise technologies
- Ability to develop design patterns, references architectures and solutions; and to educate others.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
