Job Summary
- Seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Capacity Manager to drive end-to-end capacity, performance, and resiliency strategy across a major line of business.
- This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong technical leadership, strategic influence, and alignment to ITIL-based service management practices.
- The role does not include direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide capacity planning and performance engineering initiatives.
- Develop and execute capacity management strategies to ensure infrastructure scalability, stability, and resiliency.
- Drive forecasting and demand management processes to support business growth and technology investments.
- Establish governance frameworks, reporting metrics, and ITIL-aligned operational processes.
- Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and application teams to optimize resource utilization.
- Manage hardware reclamation and lifecycle management programs.
- Monitor and analyze system performance trends and recommend capacity improvements.
- Create executive-level reports and capacity forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Ensure alignment of capacity management practices with enterprise service management standards and operational objectives.

- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Expertise managing capacity across hybrid infrastructure environments including VMware ESX and public cloud platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong knowledge of ITIL service management principles and practices.
- Experience using Dynatrace, Splunk, and ServiceNow ITSM for monitoring, reporting, and operational management.
- Proven ability to develop governance processes and capacity reporting frameworks.
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-wide initiatives in a senior individual contributor capacity.
