What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site IT Operations Lead – MES/SCADA Systems position at Galent?
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary IT contact for escalated Technical Services support
- Support network and infrastructure teams with troubleshooting and project activities
- Coordinate the resolution of Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents, including after-hours on-call support
- Work with MLL personnel to identify issues and define future-state requirements
- Coordinate application support for incidents and service requests within the plant environment
- Act as the single point of contact and project lead for complex service requests and local IT projects
- Monitor service levels and ensure the health of Technical Services, including network reliability, availability, and capacity
- Collaborate with MLL stakeholders, including execution systems teams, plant engineers, and technicians
- Assist with site IT asset planning, deployment, and decommissioning
- Coordinate end-user support and service desk activities
- Oversee application installations and ensure proper operation
- Liaise with network vendors for equipment repair and maintenance
- Provide initial troubleshooting for applications and coordinate escalation through resolution
- Support and coordinate site technical change control activities
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven years of experience in site IT support and incident management
- Proficiency in ITIL processes and service asset management
- GxP knowledge is preferred
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, IP subnetting, and Layer 1–4 security
- Ability to work independently and provide off-hours support
- Strong multitasking, coordination, and organizational skills
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Knowledge of SCADA, MES, and Kepware is a plus
- Ability to coordinate effectively across teams and departments
- Familiarity with project management principles
- Knowledge of multiple Windows operating systems and databases
